For those of you who weren't able to attend: Deirdre conducted the music. Danielle gave the opening prayer. Denise gave a talk on baptism, it was excellent! Elder Pitts baptized Ransom. Dan was one of the witnesses, Elder Rios-Lazo was the other. While they changed their clothes Jeff sang "In the Hollow of Thy Hand" and "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing". He did a wonderful job, as usual. Ransom's favorite scout leader, Kevin O'Neal, gave a talk on the Holy Ghost, also excellent! (He took two chairs to the front of the room and sat and talked with Ransom - it was good!). Then Kyle confirmed the Holy Ghost on Ransom with Dan, Bro. O'Neal, Bro. Lang, Bro. Amsden & Bro. Wagley included in the circle. (Brothers Lang & Amsden are Ransom's Sunday School teachers.) Bro. Wagley, 1st counselor in the bishopric, welcomed Ransom into the ward. Dan gave the closing prayer and then we had snacks. Grandma made her famous chocolate chip cookies and heart shaped frosted cookies - they were the highlight of the refreshments. Andy and AJ came so it was perfect for Ransom.
Congratulations, Ransom! We're all so proud of you!!

Ryan turns 13!!!
We had a family celebration the Sunday before Ryan's birthday. Then on his birthday (Ransom was sick, he stayed home with Uncle Dan) Aunt Penny was in town so she, Aunt Deana, Grandma and I took Ryan to CiCi's for pizza - his choice! Then I took him to see "Paul Blart, Mall Cop". We had a good time!
A few weekends later Ryan, Ransom, Donny, Dan and I went to a double feature at the drive-in theater and saw "Paul Blart..." and "Hotel for Dogs" so Ransom and Dan were able to see it too!
Still hard to believe Ryan Jacob is 13 years old. The other day he made a face and I jokingly told him to quit acting like a teenager - he said "but I am one"! And the fun begins!!!

OK...
I'm giving up on getting any more holiday pictures posted - I'm having trouble with my computer at home. So, while I'm on my lunch hour, I'm posting 2 pics from this past week end. Ryan went on a camp out with the Boy Scouts to Brazos Bend State Park. The picture of the boys is pretty darn hilarious and seems quite typical of a scout outing!! Ryan is at the center, front, looking to his right. (If you click on the pictures you can get a closer view.)
The second pic is 1 of the 19 alligators they saw. Yes - 19!!!!!! Dan's family reunion is in October each year at this park and I don't think we've ever seen that many!! Seems pretty amazing to me - they made it home with the same number of boys they left with!!

(After taking a closer look at the alligator picture, there may be more than 1 in this picture - we won't ask what they were doing.)

Christmas Fun
We went to the Christmas Party at church last Friday (12/19). They asked people to make gingerbread houses as part of the decorations. As you see there were many different shapes and sizes. Santa showed up (you might recognize him).
And my sister, Jenni, came into town for Christmas - always something fun to do!
Merry Christmas to all!!
