Ryan has started his Senior year!!

 "Excited" to start the new school year!

Not really, not until wrestling starts anyway.

But he has been called as the President of his Seminary Class

and he is really looking forward to the new responsibilities.

 And he was truly excited when he received
his letterman jacket the first day of school...

Birthday Pic 2013 - Early

I had an opportunity, yesterday, to take my annual picture of the boys.  My birthday isn't for another month but I wasn't able to get one last year so I grabbed the opportunity when I could.  Not sure how much longer I can call them "the boys"...

Tracy & Preston...



Tracy and Preston are on their way to San Diego.  They arrived in Cypress just in time to have their picture taken, with Ryan, at the opening of Bahama Buck's - some friends from church own it - and it's not far from our house.  We had never had it before and I must say it is soooo YUMMY!

The gangs all here!! Tracy and Preston will continue on to San Diego.  Tracy will return for their 3 dogs and her car as soon as they have a better understanding of what Preston will be doing and where they'll be living.  Until then, anyone want to walk a dog?  There are 6 dogs in our house (one of ours was under the bed for this picture).  Fun times!!

Ransom James turns 16!!

I asked Ransom what he wanted for his birthday...he asked if I'd ever been to Costco...he wanted to buy a case of soup...that's what he wanted for his birthday.  Anyway, I have a membership to Sam's Club so we went there and I let him choose a few other things.  You will note there is no soup - they didn't have the kind he was looking for!!  As we left Sam's with a trunk of food (I use that word loosely - can you say junk) he told me it was "the best birthday ever".
Happy Birthday, Ransom!  We love you!

Girls Trip!



 So I took a trip with my beautiful daughter to San Diego. We were there to find a place for her and Preston to move to when they transfer there in a month.  We didn't have much luck finding a suitable place but enjoyed the weather and the company!!

We flew to Phoenix first to meet my sister and pick up my aunt.  Aunt Lin has a lemon tree in her yard that had the largest lemons I've ever seen.  And it smelled good too!


 My crazy sister talked my crazy cousin into coming with us - so glad she did!!

  We took a whale watching tour while we were there to celebrate my cousins birthday.  This is Tracy on the boat with Point Loma in the background.

 We saw grey whale - they have a double blow hole so they produce a mist that is often in the shape of a heart.

 It's hard to see but this was 100s of dolphins rushing the boat we were on.  Apparently they like to play in the waves the boat makes...it was a crazy sight.  It looked like they were going to swim into the side of the boat but they didn't.

Wrestling Season is Over

Wrestling season is over but we've added a few items to Ryan's room.  These are the medals he received this year with corresponding pictures of the events.

These are some clings we added to make the wrestlers room complete.

And this is Ryan's motto.  It's a good one!
Next year he'll be a senior and State is his goal!
Then on to a mission - lots of exciting times ahead!

District Championship 2013

Cy-Fair District Championship - 145 - 3rd Place!!!!! It's on to Regionals this coming week end!!!

Christmas 2012

We re-did the boys room as part of Christmas. There's a new weight set we used to place their gifts around and their stockings on. And there's also...

a new bed with bedding. I know, whooohoooo, what every boy wants for Christmas but Ryan really did want and need a new bed and there's a trundle underneath for Ransom when he stays at the house! We took some other pictures that included the boys but I'm not able to get to them just yet. If any of them turned out well, I'll post them later. Happy New Year to everyone!
